Summer time and the living is easy

Hi guys! So we decided to change the language of the blog into English so that our non-Finnish-speaking family and friends could also read it. We are still thinking what could be a  good translation for the name of the blog… 

Since last blogging really much stuff has been going on. We sold our flat and found a new home. Now we aren’t hanging on the other side of the long Hakaniemi bridge anymore but transformed into true habitants of Kaivopuisto. Also the skiing season was rapped and packed this year already before eastern. Hope that next year we have better luck with weathers and accidents.

At home everything is in chaos at the moment. Luckily we’ve still managed to take some time and plan our summer trip to Europe. We have done interrailing few times before but this time we are travelling around with our own car.

Our plan is to take a ferry to Tallinn and drive the Via Baltica to Poland and The Czech Republic. From there we drive through Austria and Alps to the Northern Italy. Little by little we start our journey back home through Germany and Sweden. From Stockholm we are going to take a ferry to Turku and finally drive to Helsinki.

We haven’t done this kind of trip ever before so we are so excited. You’ll hear more about the plans and stuff soon. Until then have fun and enjoy the upcoming summer!

Terve tyypit! Viime päivityksestä onkin vierähtynyt jonkin aikaa, sillä elämässämme on tapahtunut kaikenlaista myllerrystä. Myimme Sörnäisten asuntomme ja muutimme Hakaniemen pitkän sillan toiselle puolelle Kaivopuiston kupeeseen. Osittain tästä syystä myös hiihtokautemme loppui jo ennen pääsiäistä tänä vuonna. Oli muutenkin vähän onneton laskuvuosi huonoine talvineen ja kaatumisineen. Toivotaan parempaa tuuria ensi vuodelle.

Muuttohässäkän keskellä olemme onneksi ehtineet hieman suunnitella kesäreissuamme Eurooppaan. Olemme interrailanneet muutamaan otteeseen, mutta tällä kertaa reissuratsuna toimii oma auto.

Suunnitelmissa on ottaa Tallinnan lautta Suomenlahden yli ja ajaa Via Balticaa Puolaan ja edelleen Tsekkeihin. Siitä suuntaamme Itävallan Alppien yli Italiaan, josta lähdemme pikku hiljaa nousemaan takaisin ylöspäin Saksan kautta Ruotsiin ja Tukholmasta lautalla Turkuun. Matkaliput on jo ostettu. Nyt täytyy vaan malttaa enää odottaa kesälomaa.
