Europe calling

It’s only two weeks left for our trip in Europe. We are going on Sunday 6th of July.  Our ferry leaves from Helsinki 8:30 am and we arrive to Tallinn at 11 am.

Our plan is to drive through the Baltic countries quite fast. I think we are going to have a little longer pit stop in Riga, Latvia since the Via Baltica (Road E67) goes quite near it. The first night we are probably going to spend in south Lithuania. On the second day we drive to Liberec, The Czech Republic. There we spend the next night.

After The Czech Republic we actually don’t have that clear plans yet. We have just listed some places we would like to visit. Here are the best ones:

We are definitely not going to visit all of these. Two weeks isn’t just enough. But I think that one of the best parts of a trip is to plan stuff before and then come up with something even better!

Lähtöön on enää reilu pari viikkoa aikaa, joten on aika paljastaa suunnitelmat.

Tournee alkaa 6.7. lauttamatkalla Tallinnaan, josta matka jatkuu Via Balticaa pitkin Latvian kautta Etelä-Liettuaan. Tarkoitus on, että vietämme ensimmäisen yön jossain liettualaisessa pikkukaupungissa. Ensimmäinen yöpaikka täytyy varmaan tsekata ennakkoon, sillä auto pitäisi saada vartioidulle alueelle yöksi.

Baltian maista matka jatkuu Puolan kautta Tsekkeihin. Se on toinen etappimme, jossa meillä on jo yösija tiedossa seuraavaksi yöksi. Sen jälkeen suuntamme Itävallan kautta Italiaan. 

Loppumatkaa varten meillä ei ole sen kummempia suunnitelmia eikä sellaisia ole tarkoitus tehdäkään. Listasimme tuohon yläpuolelle mielenkiintoisia paikkoja, joissa haluaisimme käydä. Matka suunnitellaan varmaan ainakin osittain niiden varaan. Ja muuten annamme auton kuljettaa meitä. Parastahan reissussa on vapaus tehdä, mitä haluaa.
